Rozita Nosrati

Iranian · b. 1987

Rozita Nosrati (b. 1988, Saqqez) is an Iranian painter and printmaker whose practice explores perception, memory, place, and the relationship between inner experience and the visible world. Trained in painting and illustration, she has worked across drawing, etching, aquatint, ink, pastel, watercolor, and acrylic. Earlier bodies of work often combined figurative imagery with psychologically charged and fragmented spaces, while later projects increasingly emerged from direct observation of landscapes, interiors, streets, and everyday surroundings. Her recent paintings are characterized by restrained compositions, fluid gestures, subtle colour relationships, and a sensitivity to light and atmosphere. Through shifts between observation and recollection, Nosrati examines presence, displacement, silence, and the emotional experience of inhabiting a place.
