Terms of Use
Last updated 2 September 2026
These terms cover the use of doostmotion.com, the website of Doost Motion, a film production studio working with artists, galleries, museums and cultural institutions. By using the site you accept them.
They are about the website itself. A film commission is a separate matter, governed by its own written agreement — see Project requests below.
Using this website
The site exists to show our work and to let you reach us. You are welcome to browse it, link to it, and share its pages.
You may not interfere with the site or the server it runs on, attempt to reach parts of it that are not public, or use automated tools to harvest its contents in a way that disrupts it or the people using it.
Films, images and text
The films, video, photographs, images, text, design and the arrangement of the archive on this website belong to Doost Motion, or to the artists, galleries and institutions we have filmed, and are protected by copyright.
Nothing here is free to reuse. You may not copy, download, re-upload, re-edit, redistribute or publish any film, still, image or text from this site — commercially or otherwise — without our written permission. Where an artist's work appears in one of our films, the copyright in that work remains with the artist, and permission for it has to come from them as well as from us.
Quoting a short passage of text with a clear credit and a link back is fine. For anything else, write to [email protected] and ask.
Names and works of others
Artists, galleries, museums, foundations and other institutions named in the archive are identified for documentary purposes. Their names, logos and works remain their own, and appearing on this site does not imply any endorsement in either direction beyond the collaboration the film describes.
Links to other websites
The site links outward — to YouTube, to galleries, to artists' own pages. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, their availability or the way they handle your information. Following an external link is your own decision.
Accuracy and availability
The archive is compiled with care, but exhibition dates, titles, credits, descriptions and counts may contain errors or fall out of date. Nothing on the site is a warranty that the information is complete or current. If you find something wrong — particularly about your own work, gallery or institution — tell us at [email protected] and we will correct it.
We aim to keep the site available, but we do not guarantee it will be reachable without interruption, and we may change or remove any part of it.
Project requests
Sending the project request form starts a conversation. It is not an order, and it does not create a production agreement or oblige either of us to anything.
A commission exists only once we have agreed it in writing. That agreement sets out:
- the scope of the work and what is delivered;
- the fee, the payment terms and what is excluded;
- the schedule, the filming dates and the locations;
- permissions, clearances and consents for the people, works and spaces filmed;
- credits, and who holds which rights in the finished film, the footage and the stills.
Until that agreement is in place, nothing on this website is a quote or an offer — including any indicative budget range you select in the form.
Liability
The website is provided as it is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from the use of this site or from reliance on information in the archive.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Applicable law
These terms, and any dispute arising from them or from the use of this website, are governed by Dutch law and fall to the competent court in the Netherlands.
Changes and contact
We update these terms from time to time; the date at the top says when they last changed. Questions about anything on this page go to [email protected]. How we handle personal information is set out separately in our privacy policy.
