Its exhibitions often bring together artists from different generations and extend beyond Pace Gallery’s own roster. 125 Newbury currently operates from its single location in New York.

Its holdings include more than two hundred paintings, around five hundred drawings, more than eight hundred letters, and extensive archival material related to the artist’s life and practice. The collection also includes works by Van Gogh’s contemporaries, artists who influenced him, and later artists inspired by his work, alongside significant collections of nineteenth-century prints and Japanese ukiyo-e. The museum’s main building on Museumplein was designed by Gerrit Rietveld, with an exhibition wing designed by Kisho Kurokawa. The Van Gogh Museum also manages The Mesdag Collection in The Hague.
