Zahra Rezadoost is an Iranian artist whose drawings explore the emotional and psychological dimensions of home, light, silence, memory, and everyday space. Working primarily with charcoal, she focuses on domestic interiors, furniture, windows, architectural details, and, more recently, the exterior façades of houses at night. Light plays a central role in her practice, transforming ordinary rooms and objects into spaces charged with atmosphere and narrative. During the lockdown period, Rezadoost turned sustained attention toward her immediate surroundings, observing subtle changes of light and shadow within the home. Her later works extend this investigation outward, using illuminated windows, dark façades, and quiet architectural surfaces to examine presence, absence, memory, and the experience of place.
