Alireza Jahromi

Iranian · b. 1984 · Doost Art artist

Alireza Jahromi (b. 1984, Tehran) is an Iranian artist working primarily in painting, drawing, mixed media, and printmaking. His practice explores the relationship between image, memory, sound, and historical visual culture through layered and fragmented compositions. Figures, animals, architectural spaces, and references to Persian miniature painting and Western art history frequently appear within his works, overlapping and transforming across the pictorial surface. Jahromi often treats forms as interconnected elements within a visual rhythm, allowing transparency, repetition, and superimposition to shape the final image. Across different bodies of work, his paintings move between personal experience, cultural memory, and historical imagery. He studied painting at Azad University and the University of Tehran and currently lives and works in Amsterdam.
