Arnaud Adami (b. 1995, Lannion) is a French painter based in Paris whose figurative practice focuses on work, social visibility, and the people behind everyday professions. His paintings have portrayed delivery riders, hospital workers, sex workers, butchers, and, more recently, florists. Drawing on the traditions of portraiture and genre painting, Adami gives close attention to gestures, uniforms, working environments, and moments of concentration. His compositions often combine photographic observation with references to classical painting, transforming contemporary scenes of labour into carefully staged images. Across his practice, Adami examines dignity, precarity, social hierarchy, and the ways certain forms of work remain overlooked within everyday life.
