David Hockney 25 was a major retrospective bringing together more than 400 works created between 1955 and 2025 across the entire Fondation Louis Vuitton. The exhibition traced seven decades of Hockney’s practice, from his early paintings in Bradford and iconic California swimming pools to portraits, Yorkshire landscapes, Normandy scenes, digital drawings, and immersive installations. Particular emphasis was placed on the previous twenty-five years, highlighting his sustained exploration of landscape, seasonal change, portraiture, colour, and new technologies.
