The Plateau

The Plateau presents a body of work by Karim Nasr reflecting on humanity’s changing relationship with the land. Drawing on images of cultivation, vegetation, soil, and rural life, the exhibition considers a world in which direct physical contact with nature is gradually being replaced by mediated and digital experience. Nasr approaches the landscape as a site of memory and separation, observing the fading connection between generations of farmers and the ground they once cultivated. Through painting, the exhibition evokes the sensation of witnessing a farewell to the earth, while considering how nature, memory, and human experience are transformed within an increasingly digital world.
