Painting Landscapes with Paper

In Paper to Nature, Fateme Motallebi creates textured landscapes inspired by her personal experiences of northern Iran across different seasons. Gradually moving away from the brush, she works with colored papier-mâché to translate memories, sensations, and encounters with nature into the physical surface of her paintings. In this video, Motallebi reflects on her process and her attempt to revisit familiar landscapes—places shaped through memory and personal experience.
