Over the Rainbow

Over The Rainbow was Camilla Moberg’s first solo exhibition at Galerie Maria Wettergren, presenting a series of large luminous sculptures handblown in glass in Nuutajärvi, Finland’s oldest glassmaking village. The works explore biodiversity, ecological fragility, and the relationship between humans and nature. Their totem-like structures are inspired by stacked natural stones, while the colours and patterns of insects and birds—including beetles, dragonflies, and owls—are enlarged and transformed into abstract glass forms. Under the collective title Messengers in Glass, the sculptures combine traditional glassmaking with environmental reflection, using light, colour, and transparency to draw attention to the beauty and vulnerability of natural ecosystems.
