Stems Gallery Founded 2015 · Brussels, Belgium Stems Gallery was founded in Brussels in 2015 by siblings Pascaline and Guillaume Smets. The gallery developed its program around emerging and mid-career contemporary artists, initially gaining recognition for introducing a new generation of American artists to European audiences. Its exhibitions span painting, drawing, sculpture, photography, video, and installation, with an emphasis on close collaboration with artists and curators. In 2020, Stems moved to a larger space in the historic former Solvay laboratories in Brussels. The gallery has also developed international projects and regularly participates in major art fairs. Today, Stems Gallery operates its main exhibition space in Brussels and an appointment-only viewing room in Luxembourg.
